Large Format Posters
Wide-format posters can work for promotional material, event banners, artwork, and much more! We can print giclée posters on our Uncoated Poster Paper, Luster Gloss Poster Paper, or Art Quality Poster Canvas, as large as 36" wide by 100' long.
Tip: Please make sure that your files are being created at 300 DPI to ensure there is no pixelation when printed in large format! If you have any questions about file setup before placing your order, please reach out to support@catprint.com.
What is Giclée or Wide Format Poster Printing?
Giclée printing refers to fade-resistant, pigment-based, archival quality, inkjet printing. This type of printing is popular for digital art prints and high-quality reproductions of traditional and other types of art.
How do I set up a Giclée job?
On the order builder page, under paper options, make sure to select one of our three wide format paper options, Uncoated Poster Paper, Luster Gloss Poster Paper, or Art Quality Poster Canvas. Then, fill in the rest of your job specifications like size and quantity.
What are the file requirements?
Your files should be:
- At least 300 DPI
- High Resolution PDFs, JPGs, TIFFs, or PNGs
- Created in CMYK Color Format
What should my file dimensions be?
File dimensions must be the same size as the print dimensions. For example, if you are printing a 24" x 36" poster, your files must be exactly 24" x 36". Full bleed jobs need to be sized 1/4" larger than the final cut size.
The widest print we can produce is 44”, so be sure to keep that in mind when designing your files.
What is considered a wide format job?
Any print larger than 12" x 18" is considered a wide format project by CatPrint. Prints larger than 12" x 18" must be printed on our wide format poster stocks.
However, if you wish to use one of our specialty stocks available on our poster printer but do not have a print larger than 12" x 18", all you have to do is select one of our premium options!
- Uncoated Poster Paper - Our uncoated stock features a soft, uncoated finish.
- Luster Gloss Poster Paper - Our luster gloss poster paper lives up to its name with a high shine gloss finish. Great for photography and art prints.
- Art Quality Poster Canvas - A popular choice with our traditional media artists looking to have prints made. Canvas is a textured stock that resembles a gessoed artist’s canvas.
Tip: You don’t have to print larger than 12”x18”! If you wish to use one of our specialty stocks, all you have to do is select one of the paper options.
